Like the “He is Risen” print, this artwork celebrates Christ’s Resurrection, but from a slightly different perspective. The quote here is from Luke’s Gospel. The two disciples on the Road to Emmaus are told by their colleagues, including the Apostles, the astonishing news: “The Lord is risen indeed and has appeared to Simon [Peter].” (Luke 23:34). Moments later our Lord appears again to them all, says “Peace be with you! It is I, do not be afraid.” (Luke 24:35) Good advice for all of us!
