This CD, The Living Stations of the Cross, "I Thirst", is the labor of love of two Christian women, Silvia Aimerito and Lori Rae Martin. As co-owners of a flourishing audio and video production company, AudioGirl Productions, they have created commercials, documentaries, and e-learning for TV, radio, and web spots, both broadcast and non-broadcast. In 2008, it was placed on their hearts to start a very active and loving Pro-Life ministry: AudioGirl Ministries. You can find out more information about their ministry here. The Living Stations of the Cross, "I Thirst" is a fruit of their labor, and all proceeds from its sale goes to helping the pro-life cause in a unique and profound way: towards purchasing ultrasound machines! When you purchase this CD you’ll deepen your faith and help save lives as well! As Silvia and Lori point out on the website “Why an ultrasound machine? Once a woman SEES that it’s a real live baby, if she was considering abortion, she’s 85% more likely to choose life!” The CD itself covers the Stations of the Cross in a strikingly moving manner. It features original songs and commentary, with actors taking the part of various people present (and others who might have been present) at Christ’s brutal journey to Calvary sharing their thoughts. The commentary has the flavor of an historical novel, and includes reflections from Mary Magdalene, Joseph of Arimathea, Martha and Mary, Nicodemus, Pontius Pilate and many others! And, in the spirit of a good meditation, they make us think about what Christ’s Passion should mean to us. For example, in the selection covering the 5th Station, Simon Cyrene asks us “Do you see how much the people around you need your help? And how much you need theirs? Do you try to see their needs and offer what help you can give? Or do you ignore them, just as I tried to ignore Jesus of Nazaerth?” AudioGirl Productions has done a wonderful job making the Stations of the Cross come alive in this era of so much unbelief! And, as a reminder, when you buy this CD, you’ll not only be helping yourself but also the unborn as well! Running time: 53 minutes. |
